What was it that drew you to Pilates in the first place?
And what is it that keeps you coming back?
Take a moment with those questions. Whatever your answer — that's where this Study Group begins.
For me, it started with an injury. During my rehabilitation I discovered the Pilates method — and something clicked immediately. Not just because it helped me recover, but because of what it offered beyond that.
What kept me was something harder to name. As a dancer, I had spent decades training my body — but Pilates gave me something I hadn't found anywhere else: a truly holistic, integrated practice that nourishes the body and the mind at the same time. It feeds my dancer's body on every level — physical, mental, and beyond.
It never gets boring. Every time I come back to it, I find something new. A different angle, a deeper layer, a connection I hadn't noticed before.
That hunger — that feeling of wanting to know more, understand more, feel more — is exactly why this Study Group exists.
Because I believe that when you find what drew you to Pilates, and what keeps you there, that's when the real practice begins.
This is not a Pilates Teacher Training. You won't receive a certificate, and you won't be trained as a teacher.
This isn't an anatomy course either. We do talk about which muscles are working and why — but always in the context of the exercise you're practicing, never as separate theory.
What you will do is spend four months working intensively on your own Pilates technique, in a small group where you are truly seen.
Pilates teachers who want to refine their technique
Teachers in training who want more hands-on practice
Advanced practitioners who want to learn how to practice more deeply
Anyone considering a teacher training who wants a strong technical foundation first
Four months, two phases. We start where Pilates started — on the mat. Then we take everything you've learned and bring it to the Reformer.
Technical execution
Transitions between exercises
Rhythm and control
Common mistakes — and how to correct them
Your own personal patterns and tendencies
Executing exercises with more precision
Understanding what an exercise really asks of the body
Moving more efficiently
Building stronger connections between mat and machine
Beginner & Intermediate level throughout
Every week we meet online for 90 minutes. We practice together, work on technique, ask questions, and I give individual feedback.
Between sessions, you get focused assignments — designed to deepen your self-practice and sharpen your awareness of your own movement.
Every session is recorded. Although it is a commitment, but if you can't make it live, you can watch it back — available only to participants in your group.
This is not a course with dozens of people. It's a small, focused environment where everyone gets seen — personal feedback, individual questions, real guidance.
You won't leave knowing more exercises. You'll leave knowing how to truly execute the ones you already know.
No scattered workshops, no random topics. Four months, step by step, where mat and Reformer reinforce each other.
You're ready to commit to four months of focused study
You can be live, once a week
You're open to feedback
You want to refine your technique, not just collect more exercises
You're willing to practice on your own between sessions
You're looking for a certificate or formal qualification
You don't have time to practice between sessions
You're looking for a full teacher training
You mainly want to learn new exercises rather than deepen the ones you know
¨After passing my training I started teaching and found myself after a few years in a slump. I was not feeling particularly inspired, and was also noticing my technique, strength and mobility were regressing. At this point, I remembered Erik, reached out to him and he guided me back to a healthy Pilates body and back to my love for Pilates.¨
Erik is an exceptional teacher that is knowledgeable, detailed and nurturing. He's everything you want in a Pilates teacher and he's an absolute sweetheart which makes those harder positions more achievable!
